Peas Pulav is very simple and healthy dish. made with some spices, onions and peas, you can also make with frozen vegetables. i hope you all like this recipe.

 1 cup Basmati Rice
 ½ cup Green Peaspreferably fresh or frozen
 ½ cup Sliced Onion
 3 tbsp Ghee
 1.75 cups Water
 1 tsp Cumin Seeds
 1 Small Piece of Cinnamon
 1 Black Cardamom
 2 Green Cardamom
 23 Cloves
 12 Bay Leaf (Medium sized)
 Salt As Required

Wash the basmati rice, Soak rice for 30 minutes. After 30 mins drain all the water and set aside.

Heat ghee in a pressure cooker. Add the cumin seeds along with all the whole spices. Fry for some seconds on low heat, until the spices splutter.

Then add the sliced onions. Stir and saute until the onions are light golden or caramelized. Do not burn the onions as this will lead to a bitter taste in your matar pulao.

Now add the green peas and saute for a minute, Then add the drained rice and mix gently.

Saute for a minute seeing that the ghee coats the rice grains. Add water and salt as required. Mix well.

Cover and pressure cook for 2 whistles or 6 to 7 minutes on a medium-high to high heat. Let the pressure settle down on its own and then open the lid of the cooker.
Gently fluff rice and serve peas pulao hot or warm.

Peas pulav goes well with plain curd, raita and with onion salad.
