Tawa pulav is one of the popular street food in india. Tawa pulav is very common street food from mumbai which is made on a large flat griddle(tawa). To make this, rice is cooked first and seasoned with PAV-BHAJI MASALA POWDER and vegetables.

 1 cup Basmati Rice(80-90% cooked)
 ½ cup Chopped Onion
  cup Chopped Tomato
 ½ cup Chopped Capsicum
 1 cup Steamed Vegetables(potato,peas,carrot)
 2 tbsp Cooking Oil
 2 tsp Ginger and Garlic Paste
 12 Bay-leaves and cardamom
 1 tsp Cumin Seeds
 2 pinches Pav-Bhaji Masala
 1 tsp Red Chilli Powder
 4 tbsp Water
 Salt As Needed
 ½ cup Coriander For Garnishing

Heat Oil in a pan, add cumin,bay-leaves,cardamom and saute till they began to crackle.

Add ginger and garlic paste and onions, fry them till a nice aroma comes out

Now add tomatoes and salt, fry till tomatoes turn mushy. After this Add pav-bhaji masala and red chilli powder.

Next add capsicum and saute for 2-3 mins. Pour 2 tbsp of water and cook the masala until water evaporates.

Add boiled veggies and mix well.

Add the cooked basmati rice and gently mix the veggies with the rice.

Garnish with coriander leaves and sprinkle some lemon juice on the tava pulao.

Serve tawa pulav hot with onion tomato raita or cucumber raita or plain yogurt accompanied with papad and pickle.
