Hasselback potatoes or Hasselbacken, offer the best of both worlds. A type of baked potato, where the potatoes are about halfway cut through into thin slices.

Preheat the oven to 230°C or 450°F

Wash the potatoes, pat dry them and then place each potato between two chopsticks and carefully make cuts be around 1-2 mm without cutting all the way through the potato. Be sure to use a sharp knife

Mix together all the ingredients for the marinade.
Place the potatoes on the baking sheet and brush them with the paste.

Bake the potatoes for 25-30 mins, take them out of the oven, apply more butter and put them back for another 20 mins or until tender.
Remove the potatoes from the oven and serve immediately.
